Project Overview
Minuta is an artisan pasta business that specializes in crafting pasta from scratch. The project was created in 2020 and designed by me for its owner, Camilo Gonzalez. The primary goal was to create a visual identity that conveys a sense of artisanship, history, and tradition. Camilo, the owner, is highly skilled in pasta-making, with a specialty in creating various fillings and sauces for ravioli and lasagna.
Deliverables
The project included the creation of a distinctive logo featuring the pasta machine and the Minuta name. Additionally, I designed packaging for the sauces and the menu, all of which incorporated the brand's visual identity.

Problem Statement
The challenge was to create a brand identity that reflected the handmade and artisanal nature of the pasta business while highlighting Camilo's expertise in crafting unique pasta dishes.
Concept Development
The concept was to incorporate an artisanal pasta-making machine into the logo design, with the name "Minuta" surrounding it. This imagery aimed to symbolize the handmade and traditional aspect of the business.
Design Process
I began by sketching various concepts and exploring different design elements. We experimented with color combinations, ultimately selecting red, green, and a pasta-toned yellow to evoke the essence of Minuta's pasta offerings. The final design was refined through multiple iterations and feedback from Camilo.
Approach
Minuta brand identity is an embodiment of artisanal excellence. The logo, carefully crafted, evokes a sense of history and tradition. At its heart is a pasta-making machine surrounded by the name "Minuta," symbolizing the essence of artisanal pasta creation. The color palette draws from the warmth of red, the freshness of green, and the inviting tones of pasta itself.

Challenges and Solutions
One challenge was capturing the essence of handmade pasta in a visual logo. The solution was to use the pasta machine as a central element, signifying the craft and tradition behind Minuta's products.
Results and Impact
The new brand identity successfully conveyed the artisanal nature of Minuta's pasta business. It helped attract customers who appreciate handmade pasta dishes, and sales of ravioli, in particular, saw a significant increase.
